VINEYARDS

Located in 25 de Mayo – San Rafael at 850 mts on a hill. Selection of parcels that are characterized by a profile with less sand and clay and a higher composition of rocks. We treat the vines to aim at yields of 50 qq -70 qq per varietal per ha. French rooted vines planted in 2003, conducted on a vsp and irrigated by drip irrigation.

WINEMARKING

Double selection, destemming and crush. Fermentation of each varietal takes place in small concrete tanks (3000-5000 its) at controlled temperature of 25°C. Postfermentative maceration takes place for 21-28 days leading to maceration in tanks. The wines are aged for 18 months in new 225 French oak barrels. Blending, lightly filtered and bottled for an aging in the bottle of at least 24 months.

TASTING NOTES

Intense red color with violet hues. The nose hightlights notes of plumb, black peper and hints of red peper. These combine with beautiful aromas of tobacco and chocolate. The mouthfeel is filling, very equilibrated and characterized by the presence of fine mature tanins. A lingerind fihish leads to a long aftertaste
