Debudding, leave thinning and cluster thinning lead to yields of 8000kg per ha. French rooted vines planted in 2003, conducted on a vsp and irrigated by drip irrigation.

WINEMARKING
Selection and destemming. Fermentation takes place in small concrete tanks at controlled temperatures (25°) with selected yeasts. After a maceration period of 20 days the wine does spontaneous malolactic fermentation. All of the wine is aged in American (30%) and French (70%) oak barrels of 225 lts during 12 months. Clarified, lightly filtered and bottled. Bottle aged for at least 12 months prior to being released.

TASTING NOTES
Deep red colour with violet reflections. The nose is ripe with fruit aromas of plumb, black fruit, pepperand a subtle liquorice. Coffee and chocolate notes are added by the aging in oak. The mouthfeel is good balanced, strong bodied and has a long finish.
